DOCTOR OF RELIGIOUS AND METAPHYSICAL PHILOSOPHY

ELIGIBILITY

To obtain this degree, a student must complete 60 credit hours beyond the Master’s degree, 36 of which are residential credit hours (time spent in active ministry and faculty-advised independent study), 18 credit hours of doctoral research and 6 credit hours of faculty advisor facilitation specifically relating to the dissertation.

POSTGRADUATE DISSERTATION

The dissertation must have a focus relevant to Pagan religious and/or metaphysical arts or philosophy and make a significant new or creative contribution to the chosen topic or field of study. It must be written under the guidance of an advisor. Once submitted, the candidate must then defend their dissertation before a faculty board.

DOCTOR OF DIVINITY

ELIGIBILITY

To obtain this degree, a student must complete 36 course credit hours beyond the master’s degree through independent study, guided by their faculty mentor, together with 300 hours (including 120 hours from the M.Div. program, if applicable) of approved volunteer service in ministry to the Pagan community.

Candidates for this degree must submit their curriculum vitae and a short memoir detailing their experiences in ministry, what they have learned, how they have grown, what advice they would give to new ministers.

DOCTOR OF MINISTRY

What characterizes this degree is that it focuses on a more specified field within the vocation of ministry, as opposed to the broader concept of divinity and general ministerial leadership (which, for example, is the aim of the Doctor of Divinity degree).

ELIGIBILITY

To obtain this degree, a student must complete 36 course credit hours beyond the master’s degree through independent study, guided by their faculty mentor, together with 300 hours (including 120 hours from the M.Div. program, if applicable) of approved volunteer service in ministry to the Pagan community concentrated on a specific type of ministry, whether it is music, storytelling & poetry, working with youth, performing and teaching energetic healing, etc.

Candidates for this degree must submit their curriculum vitae and a short memoir detailing their experiences in ministry, what they have learned, how they have grown, what advice they would give to new ministers.
